Aim Solo 2 DL vs OFT data logging?
 

I'm looking into picking up an Aim Solo 2 this year as a reliable standalone timer, and while I hadn't planned on getting the DL model I'm trying to determine if it would be foolish not to.

I currently have an Openflash Tablet that I've been using to monitor temperatures on track. I've never really used the data logging feature on it, and I'm wondering if it would fill the same role as the Solo DL or if I'm overlooking something.

The OFT doesn't do chassis parameters like the Solo 2 DL.

The Solo 2 DL will do both coolant and oil temp, as well as intake.

Car speed, wheel speeds, steering angle, brake pressure, ect.

Ok. I had Aim Solo DL in the past. I was wondering if they added something else. Nice high quality logger, but I hatted its mounting option. It was falling the most inappropriate moments.

You can mount it any way you want to make it stay where you want! :thumbsup:

They do sell roll bar mounts, etc.

I know about roll bar mounts, but I didn't want to have a roll bar just for my logger.
