ABS and Traction Control lights on SOS

A few months ago after changing my front tie rods (inners and outers) my ABS and Traction Control dash lights came on several miles down the road. I was able to resolve this issue by cleaning the wheel speed sensors with electronics cleaner.

Recently I changed my rack and pinion, which finally fixed the clunking noise I was originally troubleshooting but the lights are back on. Even after cleaning the sensors again they remain on.

I do not have drivers assisted functions like cruise control, nor ABS. This started to become a real issue when my brakes locked up during a hard stop and created a nice flat spot on my brand new tires.

I have tested the resistance of the wheel speed sensors and they work. I have checked for damages to the wiring and have found nothing.

The only other lead I have is possibly a vacuum leak in the ABS system? A symptom of the rpms dropping so low during a harder-brake that it almost stalls. This has only happened a handful of times though.

Any ideas on what it is?

Contrary to the dash lights, it's not running any codes.

I am desperate for the cruise control for I have a very long road trip ahead of me.

Anything helps, thank you!

Try having the steering sensor center calibrated/neutralized.

When was your last alignment?

A few days after changing the rack, but the lights were on before as well as after.

What's the cheapest way to do this? Techstream? Took it to the dealer today to get diagnostics and they wanted to charge me $140 so I said never mind

Find a cheaper dealer? Idk. Dealer is gonna charge what a dealer is gonna charge.

ABS. Why my BRZ is parked when there is snow on the ground. The rest is fine, but that will put you in the ditch.

You need Techstream to do the calibration, or someone that has it.
