So I just bought this and I can’t figure out what catback I have. It looks kinda like an Nvidia but missing the ‘plate’ thing on the back. Anyone know what this is?

It’s hard to tell but the tips are blued.

Doesn’t matter what you have you need to replace or get the center rewelded.

It's not an HKS (hangers are welded in the wrong spot, tips are welded differently)
It's not an Invidia (missing the center badge and the flanges are wrong)

Guessing it's some off brand copy that uses lower grade stainless steel.(?)

Edit:
Found it.

Yeah it looks like some Chinese made exhaust or something. But he’s got cracks in the welds so he probably needs to replace it anyways.

Yeah it wasn’t until I really zoomed in that I can see the cracks on that center weld. Sigh... Yet another thing I need to replace.

Looks like eBay junk.
Stock catbacks are easy to come by, and they're dirt cheap.

Invidia tips will be branded as such.

Cheapest/best option would be to go to an exhaust shop and get them to weld you up a brand new exhaust.

Do you like it? Does it leak? If yes and no, drive and enjoy.

Jstyle 02-14-2021 09:55 PM

To be honest I don’t love it. It’s loud... and I mean really loud. The drone is brutal. Just for context I drive a Hellcat with the muffler cut off and pass through resonators put in and it’s still too loud :)

This is supposed to just be a track car so I’ll prolly just suck it up and deal with it. Drive it to the welds break. Just hope I don’t blow past the sound test during tech inspection.

Yes I’m sure it leaks a little because it’s that loud. If there is a small crack, will that be a problem?

Looks like an Invidia N1 / Style clone (Such as Spec D)

Those are notorious for being loud. One of the loudest exhaust systems for this platform

Look for a used stock cat back. What's the rest of the cars setup exhaust wise. Stock headers etc...

If the leak is a problem then I’ll just find a stock catback and throw it on there. I know there is only a very negligible increase on HP and I just don’t care much about the tone.
