1st Gen Production still going?

Just wondering, the production/manufacturing is still going on for our 1st Gen model? Any idea if we can still order one new from toyota? Specially in Canada and Australia?

It ended back in July.
Or more precisely they stopped taking orders in July (in Canada) but I think they made cars into early September.
At this point what there is in stock is the end.

Subaru was still building the 2020 BRZ in November 2020.

No they weren't. weren't. That sticker is not from a BRZ

Well, we do have a VIN number to check:

Not going to search for the threads but pretty sure that it was established that production was supposed to end late July. COVID shut downs pushed that out a bit and the last builds were done in late August or early September. @Opie can probably be more accurate.

Suppose it is possible they ran off a few after the "official" date though. It was a very odd year for the auto industry!
Either way the answer to the question is NO they are not still making them.

That's exactly what my FR-S tag says.
What does yours say?

Same
That is the GVWR rate. That is for a fully loaded vehicle. It is not the "curb" weight that is usually thrown around.

Must have had parts left over or the electronic supply issue hit

The VIN does decode as a 2020 BRZ Limited. I checked it on the Subaru Vehicle Recall site. Now, whether or not Subaru verifies the VIN as an actual vehicle, not sure.

@Is1ac, the weight listed is the Gross Weight. The one listed in my car was 3748lbs, with a sticker reducing it further by 5lbs to 3743.

Whoops! My bad.
Edit: Ohhh yeah...now I remember. I learned about this a long time ago and haven't thought about it since.

Not many do. Technicaly it would mean you need to weigh everybody before they got into your car to make sure you don't go over. Not sure you would get two 250+ pound people in the back seat anyway.

Only time it ever meant anything to me was when I had my Geo convertable. It had a total passenger weight limit of 400 pounds so my one large buddy could never ride with me.
