Wheel studs
 

Searched but didn't find what I'm looking for. After my second stud break on my '14 FRS, I've decided to replace them all. It appears that ARP is the preferred brand. Is that the case? Looks like OEM are Dormans, which I sure don't want.

Are they snapping when taking off, putting on, driving, hot/cold weather? Also, what offset wheel are you running? You putting them on with an impact driver?

I think the consensus here is that they just are a weak point on the car. Putting them on with an impact driver shouldn't be snapping them off.
Just get the ARP ones and get it all over with.

Alternating between stock wheels and 38mm. I have a cordless impact I've used for years on other cars with no problems, and I like the convenience. OP mentioned what I think is consensus that stock studs are sub standard.

Actually, Dorman is OE quality replacement... they are more durable than the weak OEM ones.

Stock studs are fine, mine last many years of track use and swapping/rotating tires at the track multiple times(with impacts). Seems to be many people over the Subaru platforms complain that the studs are junk.

I am thinking it is more than likely the results of over torqueing the stock lugs, I have found it easy to stretch the threads. I have found stretched threads on my mom's Forester XT lugs after being serviced by the dealer.

I have been running Muteki SR48s, with 0 stud failures on my BRZ or WRX since 2012.
