Looking to buy - FOUND THIS

Looking at BRZ for track day manual fun

Found this car for equivalent $13,000. Very clean. My question is, I'm buying to turn into a track car as my GTR is too costly to run on the track and my RS3 I use as a daily. As far as spec goes how quick will this be from stock, and do you think its a good start on which to build on (buckets, further weight reduction, coil overs etc.)

Finally intake is the normal drop in, owner has both the injen intake and a takeda momentum which he said he fitted but then removed as no need doesn't make much gain and also a proper tune is needed to adjust the MAF.

Does this sound correct?

looks like a pretty good start to me as long as your pre-purchase inspection doesn't turn up any signs of significant damage.

If the wheels are the same size I'd look into a square tire setup when you're ready for new ones.

And a lot less tire, 265 is way to much for your power! All that is doing is slowing you down.

Not to mention that setup affecting the handling balance.

235 square is plenty of rubber. I've run 225, 235 and now on 245 and will go back to 235

This looks like a bangin' deal, no?

Are you able to transfer ownership on a catless car in the UK? I thought they had some pretty strict inspection requirements. Is it even an issue if just a track toy?
