FR-S VLAND DRL Wiring
 

Hey everyone,

I have a 2013 FR-S and I just got some VLANDs. I am trying to wire the boomerangs to function exactly how the stock OEM headlight DRLs work (i.e. so they are always on UNLESS the parking brake is up).

Sorry if this has already been answered / there is a YouTube video up explaining how to, but I have looked around for quite a while and could not find a way to do so / a clear cut answer.

I don’t know about the DRLs on the FRS, but on the BRZ, the DRLs are on when the ebrake is down and the headlights are off. The DRLs turn off when the headlights and boomerangs turn on. The only time the DRLs are on and the boomerangs are on and the headlights are off is with the parking lights on, which also turns the side markers and tail lights on.

The Always-On module would keep the boomerangs and DRLs on all the time, so they both acted as DRLs, and the DRLs would just dim to 50% when the headlights came on.

I had the Always-On module, so I should be able to wire it up to work the same, but I haven’t been motivated to do that with my VLands.
