GT86 2017 facelift bumper installed on pre-facelift 2015 model
 

As per the title I have a 2015 Toyota 86, but I'm actually interested on the looks for the 2017 Toyota 86 facelifted front bumper.

I've done some searching the forum and found (mostly are about FRS & BRZ bumper swap, not much on GT86 2017 to pre-2017) that most people say that a swap can be done without much hassle but I just wanted to confirm certain points before I get them shipped from Japan (buying used 2017 bumper from Japan as my local dealership does not sell Toyota 86 parts).

1) Should fit perfectly without any issue on fender gaps, clips & etc
2) There should be no issues with the headlights shape & size (as I am using Valenti headlights with sequential turn signals so the signal light delete on the bumper is also fine)
3) Fog lamps size are the same size?
4) Also planning to get the TRD Kouki (for 2017) front bumper also

Would appreciate some comments on this.

Headlight shape is the same, but you will need to replace the headlight brackets (the black plastic brackets that hold the headlights and the bumper clips onto). Fender brackets are the same, corner lights and brackets are the same, under tray mounting are the same.

I am not sure about the fog lights. I have a BRZ and BRZ fog lights changed how they mount from 16- to 17+.

You will need to figure out how to deal with the pre-facelift GT86 turn signals. They are mounted in the bumper on the pre-facelift model, and they are integrated into the headlight on the 2017+. As far as I know, there are no bumper mounted turn signals available for the pre-facelift model. You will have to upgrade to headlights with integrated turn signals and possibly rewire the headlights for everything to work.
