2016 FRS Midpipe Flange Help
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a Borla Touring Axel Back which I’m lead to believe was previously installed on a 2016 year as well. Hangers fit just fine but when connecting to the mid pipe it’s off around 1/2” See picture for difference in fitment. http://https://ibb.co/CJdfbyy Anyone have any recommendations on how to remedy this? Any advice is appreciated. |

That's....a hacked up flange I think. Or it was retrofitted onto another car.
Although I own the 2017 version of that Axleback, I'm 100% sure that's not how it's supposed to look like. At all. I would go back to the guy and get your money back if you bought it from someone on a marketplace. https://www.ftspeed.com/part/11839-b...toyota-86-2017 Here is the old version. Notice how the flange looks NOTHING like that. |
Thank you, that’s what I was guessing. Luckily, I’m going to be able to get my money back. As much as I like the sound of the Borla I found a good deal on a Nameless Axel back so I think I’ll go with that, thank you again for the confirmations I had a feeling something wasn’t right

You'll enjoy the Nameless axleback. One of my favorites of the many exhausts I had haha. |
