It's not THAT bad looking but waiting for the camo to come off the 86 and being able to actually say it's GOOD looking.

It looks great. In some ways "better" than the current car. People from outside the ft86 community seem to think it's an improvement...

"Isn't that bad" is still not the same as "good" looking, or actually "beautiful".

A Camry 'isn't that bad looking', but I doubt it will be winning any design awards.

Seriously though, aesthetics are a purely personal thing. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' when it comes to aesthetics. Some people liked the Pontiac Aztek, or the AMC Pacer (I'm one of them)(for the Pacer, not the Aztek). Vanilla or chocolate, it's whatever floats your boat, whatever any individual likes. It's the same with the design of the next-gen BRZ.

We now need 2 more "OFFICAL" threads.
one for The car looks horrible, and one for The car looks Meh.

:sigh:

Don’t forget these as well:

Which oil is best for new gen?
Which brakes fit?
Which wheels fit?
What parts from the new gen fit on the old and vice versa?

It goes on and on.

Wait, it's a pontoon now?

I think it's a good-looking car. If I didnt own a 2017 already, I would consider it. I still think my 2017 looks better though...

the rear end went soft. the front end looks like plastic surgery-- and it looked better before they fussed with it.

I thought we had come to a mutual agreement that none of these things matter unless or until the brake calipers are completely transparent so that it's easy to see the brake pads???

Aftermarket like Varis, Tom's racing, Blitz... will fix it. Noy too worry.

It's like doing le sexy time and at the end the girl saying "It wasn't that bad". That's where I'm at.

It's a hell of a lot better looking than the new Lexus IS series. I don't know what they are smoking at the Lexus design center but this looks awful.

I think Subaru did a nice job overall. There are things design-wise I like better about Gen 1, but this also fixes some of the things I didn’t overly love about my ‘14 BRZ (again design-wise). If the torque dip really is gone (or at least mitigated) I’ll get over any design reservations I have quickly. Overall, nicely done. Planning on ordering.
