awesome opti-coating - thunder silver GT

Hey guys!

i haven’t see many thunder silver GT photos on this forum, and considering that I just got it opti-coated by Frank yesterday, im gonna show you guys his beautiful work :thanks: - I just got this car 2 days ago and im loving every second of it – apart from the weird rattling and knocking noises from time to time….

Nevertheless, If you don’t know about opti-coating, I strongly recommend you guys to get it as the aftermath is just too awesome to put down in words….opti-coat takes maximum focus to remove debris and swirl marks in order to crystallize how it looks for a life time! Frank @ bright shine took 2-3 hours and he didn’t made me feel he slacked off at anytime – he is the perfect guy for this job as he put 101% effort into this car – it was the first thunder silver he opti-coated as well!

if you guys are in the sydney area, i ONLY recommend Frank @ bright shine, you would NOT regret it :D - http://www.*****************.com

(im gonna put more photos up later as these are my crappy iphone picks, my friend used a Cannon and its much better)

i forgot to add, after opti-coating, it looks so nice that is is analogous to a mirror....i could actually witness my own face off the door side reflections haha...

thanks again frank!!! love ya bro!

Looking good man, show us those proper photos of it though!

Another 86 getting the beauty treatment from Frank with positive results, further justifies my decision to get this done, good stuff

Nice! I've gotta drive 10 Hours to my nearest city that does opti-coat/guard but rest assured opti-coating is fast becoming mandatory amongst 86ers.

How much did it all cost approx (incld paint correction)?

ngabdala 08-13-2012 07:52 AM

Wouldn't a paint correction have the same results but one would have to maintain the wax whereas opti-coat requires little maintanence?

I only ask because I prefer to detail my own car.

Its up to the applicator on how much they want to charge. Prices vary between $400 to $1500.

Waxing is great but opti coat is in a different league.

Most people opti coat for peace of mind against bird bombs, chemical etching, water spots, etc. Waxing alone won't stop these from occurring.

It is also highly abrasion resistant and makes the vehicle easier to clean.

$400 to $1500 is quite a large difference. Is that mainly due to the applicator or depending on how much paint correction each car need?

white_knight 08-13-2012 08:27 AM

What exactly is opti-coat? I hope it's not paint protection...
