New Clutch Shaking Going Into 1st?!?

Hello,

My OEM clutch went out on me about 3 weeks ago. I immediately bought the ACT clutch kit with normal FW and also the Verus Engineering Fork, Verus Pivot Billet (I think that's what it's called), and the updated Toyota Throwout bearing with the white dot and I tossed out the other that came with the kit. I've had the car back with the new clutch for about 2 almost 3 weeks. I've been focusing on street driving and taking it easy whole the clutch is being broken in. This is my first clutch that i break in. When i go into first the car feels as if it's going to stall and I have to rev it up a bit more than I used to I'd say almost 1.5k Rpm as opposed to about 500-800. All the other gears are buttery smooth expect for 1st and Revese but we all know reverse is extremely high. Is the shaking normal while its breaking in?

Isn't the "normal" flywheel in the ACT kit still a few pounds lighter than the OEM flywheel? That would explain the difficulty with launching into first.

As far as the shaking... I don't think it is supposed to do that. There have been many reports on here of people having issues with ACT clutches specifically.

I read on another post that the normal flywheel is a little bit lighter than OEM. Is there a better way to engage with a lighter flywheel?
On other posts I read people had issues with the exedy clutch kits even the ft86speed recommended the ACT over the exedy hope I didn't buy a lemmon.

Typically they are using an eff'd flywheel or not installing it correctly, as well as not buying the right clutch for their application. The OEM clutch is an Exedy.

For what it's worth I'm using the ACT Prolite flywheel, so significantly lighter than yours. I'm using OFT to adjust both idle and did the tip in adjustment. Also removed the helper spring, slave cylinder swap, IRP short shifter, and have the MTEC springs. Swapping to the ACT kit was the last thing I did, so no input for lighter flywheel with stock setup. Clutch is very heavy with short engagement, took a decent amount of time to get used to. That said, I had some shudder initially but it's settled over time (several months, multiple track days). At this point I'm used to it and don't have any issues driving it in traffic. Also no shudder. Seems like I'm one of the few though that don't have issues with this kit though.

100% warped/contaminated flywheel. Machine it or swap it with a lighter one (my best mod ever!)
