Clutch blown? Master cylinder? PLZ help:(

Hello,
I was driving my 13 frs today when it stopped going into gear. Using my limited knowledge I towed it off to a mechanic shop thinking it was a bad clutch. I am not so sure that is the problem though... It happened when i was WOT in 2nd and tried to go into 3rd. it didnt go in so i tried 4th 5th etc. The clutch pedal pressure seemed off at this point. I coasted off the highway and was able to get it into gear and tried limping it home. I got to a red light and the car offically wouldnt go into gear. The clutch pedal would not return up when first pressed, but after manually pulling it up it seemed to have some pressure (not the same as before though). The fluid level in the resorvior is where it should be but i did not have time to do a 'full' inspection. The car has the original clutch (70k miles) so I have been expecting it to go out, especially since i supercahrged it 3k miles ago. I think its the clutch... but also sounds like a bad master cylinder. One thing i did notice was that when the car was running in neutral (w clutch in) and i tried putting it first, the car would move forward very slightly. This makes me think its the master.. Any thoughts?? plz help :(

More than likely your clutch fork. When your throw out bearing goes theres likely some noise associated. Mine squealed like a stuck pig. Check for leaks around the clutch mc, follow the hydraulic line to the clutch fork and you can remove the piston that pushes the fork with two bolts. Pull back the fork boot and check. The FRS/BRZ/86 chassis has notoriously weak clutch forks. Verus sells a stout one. I highly recommend. 70k miles on the original TOB is pretty good. Either way I think the trans has to be dropped. Might as well do some maintenance while you're in there.
