Not too keen on the look. Perhaps if it was black it would fit a little bit more.

If you add a straight extension aren't you just lengthening the throw of the shifter?

Is it annoying to reach all the way down to the plastic to put it in reverse

Looks like the nipple off a giant baby bottle.

I just prefer it like this. I've always used extenders on my cars. Usually use Circuit Hero, but since Chris was building the knob, he offered to build the extension as well. The throws are longer, but also smoother. 2nd gear isn't a problem when the car is cold anymore.

He built it just low enough so that this isn't an issue. I don't even really think about it.

long shifter rods are kinda cool because they're functional, but they shifter mechanism itself should be extra short throw so both the knob throw distance and mechanical advantage is similar to a standard length rod. That knob however, eh... Someone should also make a reverse lockout ring extension...
