6-Speed Manual or Automatic with Paddle Shifters

Choose between the control of the standard close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with short-throw shifter – upgraded for 2022 – or the convenience of the available reengineered 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and downshift rev-matching.

Keeping in mind that their last "upgrade" consisted of a slightly different peening on one gear.

With a 20% increase in volume and only a 11% increase in power. I would be hoping that a STI version with FI might be possible using their current parts bin. The Accent has the 2.4 with a turbo. I keep hoping. But not holding my breath.

Are you saying they are lying about the power? I see no reason why they would lie or why the motor couldn’t hit that power level.

I would like to see around a 10 at over 130

For a few reasons

1. To match claimed dyno power levels
2. To see if it can actually last a run or 2

I've seen alot of claimed dyno power cars run way over the et and well under the mph of what it really should easily run

I've also seen alot of big hp dyno power cars lunch themselves once they remove the cotton wool senario that a dyno gives

I respect et and mph

Dyno power numbers is a circle jerk for those that don't actually back it up with a run

When making big claims of said achievements, the proof is only a couple of dollars, and a few seconds away

Meh

Looks like the alternator is different. I don't think there are two belts and pulley systems. I think the cover on the left is just bigger to cover the pulley below it a little or something, and the cover on the right isn't flat, but slopes down half way, so maybe that changes the line you drew.

I would like to see that too, and I am sure the will take it to the track, but it is a Crosstrek with a manual transmission, so I think 10's is unlikely. The C7 Z06 has 650hp and dynos higher than this Crosstrek, and it barely gets into the 10's with an official 10.95@127 and 11.2 with the manual.

Trolling around. But yes, it's just slightly different. Before, the outer ends of the covers matched up in a more or less straight line. Now the alternator cover is bigger and extends out further, yes.

I mean, the strange skateboard ramp on the fusebox is more offputting to me. Nothing the aftermarket won't have covered within a month of launch. Don't even get me started on the nonsensical routing of the A/C lines into the firewall. Or the intake resonator somehow evolving into a late 90s Honda style intake.

Lol, looks like that resonator was designed to fill in the gap at the same angle that the intake forms. They tried to make it neat. And that's funny, I did not notice the skateboard ramp until now. Must be functional to provide additional downforce as air sweeps in.

I think it's because Tech-Decks are coming back.

Has anyone else pointed out that the '22 has an oil cooler from Subaru's Turbo'd cars?

Flex fuel, tune should be more than enough. I am gonna stick to first gen for while but boost is just not worth it on this car. Leave it NA and enjoy
