You forget to mention you're still left with an extremely flawed engine that has massive oiling issues which will become especially apparent at high power levels. K's are popular for a reason, and the couple downfalls are solved with extremely simple and cheap remedies (type S oil pump, oil pan baffling).
This is all assuming the FB25 will work. If you're forced to run the FA20 block those prices increase a ton.
