Sink draining sound
 

Every minute or so, I hear a noise that sounds like water draining down a sink or a pipe. Kind of like the car is moving air and fluids together somewhere. It's starting to worry me.

Have any of you heard this?

Where is the sound coming from? behind the glovebox? heater cores make that sound sometimes...

I think that's the AC unit making that sound.

It is the AC unit. There are refrigerant lines that hiss and sound like there's liquid running through them when the AC is cycling and building pressure. You'll hear the hiss/drain sound when the system loses pressure immediately when you turn the car off when the AC is running.

Don't worry about it.

I think Scion's marketing department was bang on.

Sink draining? Jar of marbles? Cricket chirp?
