Multiple Problems after swapping Computers
6 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone!
I had to swap the main body ECU, Cluster, ECM, Door control receiver and of course the key transmitter. All of that was because of an immobiliser issue that no one here in Dubai could fix not even Toyota which said that they have to replace the whole system which would have cost me more than my car. My car is a Gt86 2013 and I got these new parts From a scrap car, a Frs 2013. My original parts ; GCC ECU, cluster in km/h with no digital speedometer, ECM with no cruise control, door control receiver without TPMS (4 wires Plug), 3 button key transmitter (no panic button). My new parts ; American ECU, cluster in miles and digital speedometer, ECM with cruise control, door control receiver with TPMS (5 wires, extra wire connected to the ECU-IG1 fuse), 4 button key transmitter. Here are the problems that I’m facing: P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire P0451 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance P0453 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor/Switch High Input P2401 Evaporative Emission Leak Detection Pump Stuck OFF P2419 Evaporative Emission Pressure Switching Valve Stuck ON >when I plug the old body ECU and perform a health check none of these codes are detected. The doors open remotely but the trunk doesn’t ; both with the old and the new door control receivers, also programming with techstream to make it that one press unlocks the driver door only and 2 presses unlocks both doors doesn’t really work ; pressing once the unlock button makes the car act like it’s unlocked (Blinking warning light and cabin light turns on) but doesn’t , pressing twice unlocks it. No problem with locking only one press. >With techstream in the active test of body control I can open the trunk. And when I put back the old body ECU the buttons operate normally and the trunk opens remotely... weird right? Any idea suggestion? Thanks 🙏 |
My first guess is that the USDM computer and Dubai region ones are not wired identically, which is causing the EVAP problems. As far as the immobiliser is concerned, have you considered bypassing it with an aftermarket keyless entry system? Might be a workaround

I believe it’s impossible to bypass the immobiliser since I lost the transponder chip... For some reason my old body control ecu is throwing sometimes the code U100 for lost communication with ecu/bcm. I tried many times erasing the key codes to register a new key without success 🤷🏻*♂️ |

BTW these evap codes are preventing me to use the vsc sport on mode and the cruise control

Can Tactrix do this? I heard it’s the cheapest tuning tool |
