2017 Toyota 86 rear bumper swap?
 

Hey Guys, I’ve been trying to find a forum that talks about swapping a 2017 Toyota 86 rear bumper with either a 2012-2016 FR-S or BRZ rear bumper but haven’t had any luck. If you guys know where that is please link me.

My question is, will the VARIS x JOKER Rear bumper fit on a 2017 Toyota 86? I’ve read that the 86 bumper is slightly different than the 1st generation FR-S/BRZ, but the only difference from that is the diffuser and curvier corners. Are the dimensions exactly the same? Clips for the bumper in the same spot? Fitment issues? Etc. I understand if there must be somethings that I’ll have to relocate or completely remove. Thanks in advance guys.

The BRZ never changed the rear bumper in 17 so they had to keep everything interchangeable. It will swap right over.

Yeah I heard that the BRZ’s kept the same style, but is the Toyota 86 the same? I know they are practically the same car with very minor differences, but just gotta make sure haha.

BRZ = FRS = 86 = FT86 = GT86 =/= AE86
