I found a car ~150 miles away, but it comes with All-Seasons and rear bumper applique

So I have a car on order at a local dealership that I haven't heard anything about. I placed the order 2-3 weeks ago, and they said that it would be 2 weeks before I hear anything else about the car (build date, delivery date, VIN etc). I found the same car I ordered ~150 miles away that comes in next week. However, when I called he said that this one is coming with All-Season tires and some Scion rear bumper applique.

My questions are:

1. Can I remove the rear bumper Applique? http://www.scion.com/cars/FR-S/acces...wAll&view=grid

2. All-seasons? This is the first I've heard about the car coming with all seasons. I know the stock summers are crap but I'd still rather have them than all-seasons. I was planning on getting winter wheels/tires anyways but now I'll need to figure $800 for new summer tires.

3. The salesman said the car is coming with all-seasons since it's so late in the year, does that mean the one I ordered is going to come with all-season tires?

4. Should I buy it?

The tires are pretty poor on mine. I had assumed they were all-seasons. Are they not?

Darn. I guess this is a summer tire? I'm pretty sure I've had grippier all-seasons.

The way I ordered mine came with all-season tires, which I'm actually happy about because I'm cheap and tempted to try and get away without buying winter tires since winter in my area is pretty calm. As far the applique, I actually had it applied just to add something to the car, but I guess most people wouldn't care for it.

I'd say go for it though, if it's the right color/transmission for you and you're willing to drive out there to get it.

Is the scion logo white? Or does it blend in with the color of the car. I'm all for extra bumper protection, but I don't want it to be white on an asphalt car.

I think it's white, but it's not as solid white as you may think. It doesn't seem to contrast much on my hot lava's bumper.

It was already on the car when I got it. Figured if I removed it I was sure to scratch the paint there.

I saw it on an Ultramarine and it's white with a bit of opacity. It blends with the color, but remains visible.

When I first read about the rear bumper applique, I was thinking about removing it when I got the car. But after seeing it on my Ultramarine, it's not really that noticeable. It's not white on Ultramarine. It looks more like a dark gray, which I opted to just live with than go through the trouble of taking it off.

Don't settle. Get what you want.

This is the first time I have heard anyone say there were tire options for the FR-S. All I have heard discussed was the Toyota Prius Michelin tires that come standard on the FR-S and BRZ.

Never heard of a tire option. If the car is available I'd grab it. Hard to be picky right now unless you don't mind waiting.

After reading it seems the bumper applique will come off easily. Also, If the factory switched to all-seasons I'm sure to get all-season tires on my car that's yet to be built.

The rear bumper applique comes off relatively easily if you want to remove it. I took mine off just with a plastic squeegee and my hands. The day I took it off, the car had been outside in ~80F heat, and it wasn't even in direct sunlight. Although if it is cold, a quick warmup with a hair dryer should help. All i did was use the squeegee to carefully push the edge a little at a time until I was able to grab the applique itself with my nail. After that it was just hand over hand pulling along the base of the applique until it came off. There was no excessive residue left behind, a quick wash and once over with a cleaner wax cleaned it right up.

Yup. If they are making the switch, then it'll be on all the cars (at least in cold-weather locations).

I don't really like the logo applique, but I would say it's a nice addition... It definitely helps to protect with scratches on the top part of the bumper when loading/unloading the trunk. The past 2 cars I've driven have been hatches and the top part of the bumper has been beaten up from cargo and whatnot. Nothing that couldn't be taken care of with some compound, but as far as functionality goes, the applique should help, I believe. Something to take into consideration
