Toyota 86 airbag module
 

Hey, guys hope someone out there can help.

Long story short I bought a salvaged Toyota 86 with minor cosmetic damage and only one airbag rupture which was of the steering wheel. I knew I needed to replace the airbag and reset the module. When I sent my module to be reset the shipping company lost it so I had to buy a new one. I just received my new one from an 86 which had no airbag rupture. I am told that you need to program new ones to work with your specific car by some, however, others say that is unnecessary and can pretty much be plug and play is this true?
