I was recently wondering how soon the reviews were going to follow the official reveal. Will they be reviewing pre-production models or the first vehicles coming off the line?

Assuming the car isn't too different, I highly doubt pre-production. Simply demos to be sold off later or given to employee for good rate.

Sad panda here.

As for Toyota, I'm not sure atm

Let's see what the journalists will say now. Still not enough power? [emoji23]

If it doesn't have a turbo they will complain. If it doesn't have a bump of 40hp they will complain. I'm sure there will be something :laughabove:

Agreed, it’s impossible to please everybody!

We should be getting close now to the unveiling... hopefully :)

Yup! And while I'm not planning to reup to the newest 86 (I'm holding out for a GR Corolla), I am still excited. I still have hope we can keep a fun, sporty, car alive to compete with the Miata. :party0030:

-Not enough power
-Needs 50more hp
-Needs a turbo
-0-60 is "only" 3 seconds....4.4 seconds.....5.5 seconds....too slow

-Not "raw" like the original
-Too soft, and floaty compared to the original
-Too refined...doesnt feel like an extension of the mind.
-Too expensive
-Not light enough
-Too harsh for everyday driving
-No back seat delete
-Has a back seat
-No rear seats unlike the original
-Too big and heavy
-Too much like the Supra
-Lack of soul unlike the original.

Everything that the original was complained about will have been addressed, and they will complain about all the thigns that was addressed that they wished the new car didnt have because it "ruins" the car.

And even if they only make 5,000 of them and sell out the press will say "the sales numbers are disappointing" since they won't compare to Corolla or Camry totals!

So basically it will be a genesis coupe.
