Ecutek after OFT

When i bought my car, it was stock. So I decided to buy an OFT because it was cheaper and at the time i didnt have enough funds to get ecutek. Once i had loaded the stage 2 tune onto my car from OFT, previous owner (my cousin's buddy) had told me that he used had a shop tune his car with ecutek and that it had the license. if i had known that i would not have bought oft. But since i had already tuned with oft i just decided to stick with it. Now about a year later i have decided to go ecutek because i will be boosting this car soon and so im just preparing for that.

My main question is do i still have the ecutek license on my ecu even though ive used oft, or will i have to buy a new license.

OFT will have overwritten the license on the ECU

the oft will read in the tune that was in ecu at time the oft was married.

if the ecu had and ecutek licience in when oft was married then when you unmarry the oft that tune with licience will be returned to ecu.

however any ecutek tune other than a stock tune written back to ecu with ecutek will be locked and oft would not have been able to read to marry.

so unless the previuos owner had the ecutek tune returned to stock it likely have a ecutek licience in ecu to start with

shops may have used tune system other than ecutek

Yeah. The stock file that was on the ECU when I first married the oft was switched back on ecutek. So once I switch back to the stock tune it'll bring back the ecutek license?
