Need some opinions

I’m doing some upgrades on my 2019 BRZ and I have a couple questions
Which invidia is better (sound wise) N1 or Gemini R400 and which injectors do you guys recommend for a stage 2 remap

Ultramaroon 09-20-2020 09:23 PM

Stock injectors are good up to stage 2.7 for all model years except 2019.

Then WTF do you even mention "Stage 2"?

There is no OTS "stage" that involves boost.
This isn't a WRX/STI

Precisely the reason for my equally informative first reply. Garbage in - garbage out

The opinions expressed so far are rather one sided.. need less bias or should that be more bias?? Oh I don't know... Welcome your opinion?

Regardless of the lack of a bit more context i'll try and help you out.

No experience with R400 exhaust, but he Invidia N1 is the loudest catback for the 86 platform, if you run any kind of aftermarket headers you WILL have drone on the highway. A good sounding exhaust that is NOT restrictive AND shouldn't drone when combined with a header is the Invidia Q300, look into that one.

Injectors & fuel pump is only required to be replaced when you introduce a turbo or E85 and supercharger. Generally at that point (300whp+) you are going to start replacing a slew of parts such as clutch/axles and worrying about the reliability of the FA20 unless you change the compression/build the engine for the boost.

All of that said any mods on an NA build or a very low boost application, the car is VERY reliable. Easily anything below 250whp should be safe assuming the tune is well made.

not gonna lie the N1 with the rest of the system stock is still a little bit loud. depending on your climate, i feel kinda bad letting my car warm up in the winter months, its noise is just on the border of being too much, but i still warm it up with no neighbor complaints.
