pads recommendation for track on ap racing sprint kit

Hi guy, i just got my ap racing sprint kit come in and i am looking to get new pads for the track. I did notice that the pads that will fit on the ap racing kit is a different shape than the stock pads, so far i have decided on ferodo ds2500. Is there any other pads you guys would recommend for the track? I am still running stock pads and calipers for the rear btw, what pads should i change for the rear to help with the brake bias if there is any at all with this kit. Thank you

The DS2500 is NOT a track pad.

Try the CSG C2 for the track. Match the compound front and rear.

See this thread for reveiws: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131978

Note, all race pads WILL MAKE NOISE on the AP Sprint kit.

I use the Ferodo DS2500 for street use and swap in the DS1.11 for track use. Works well.

Pads should match front to rear on this car, ap kit maintains factory brake balance.

Agree ds2500 won't hold up at the track, but they're good pads that won't kill you.

Carbotech xp10 or glock r10 are safe entry level pad bets along with ds1.11

Some numbers in case anyone is interested.

AP tells me the stock brakes balance is 65.5% to the front. With the AP sprint kit that changes to 66.3%. The AP sprint kit provides 104% of the torque that the stock front brakes do.

So - as said - the AP kit basically maintains the brake balance (very slight forward shift). If my calculations are right, with the AP sprint kit the bias is very close to the perf pack brembo setup.

Raw numbers don't tell the whole story, as they don't factor in deflection, which is a major contributor to biasing and biasing issues.

That said, the Sprint kit biasing works just fine.
