My first thought was "damn those look great, but they're gonna be a bear to keep clean." Then I remembered my whole damn car is white. :bonk:

Looks great! Really enjoy your videos. Would definitely watch a video on the ceramic coating process.

Those look reeeeeal damn nice. For whatever reason they look bigger than 17s, too. Why ceramic coat them?

Also less panning slo-mo next time plz?

Being that they're my track setup, they're going to get caked it brake dust so I want to make it as easy as possible to clean.

What kind of shots would you like to see other than the panning slo-mo shots?

Cephas 11-11-2020 12:30 PM

I don't mind the type of shot itself, but there was like a solid minute of it there. Felt like it was dragging on for a minute. Might be a good place for voice-over, though, maybe talking about the details of the wheel instead of just showing it over music.

Curious to why you chose the RE71’s. For all out grip they are top notch but for track days they don’t hold up to a whole session very well. Are you focusing on TA?

Hey, are you able to share your experience with alternatives for RE-71? If I recall, RE-71 is 200tw, correct? Curious to hear your thoughts of similar 200tw tires both on track and for street use (dry grip and the occasional rainfall). Thanks

In all honesty I got a good deal on them from a friend that wasn't using them. After I'm done with these I'm going to try the new Falken RT660s. I'm not doing TA at the moment. Going to just continue to learn throughout next year and then probably jump into it end of the year.

Please post a review. I've wanted to try them but I'm scared. I'm pretty loyal to the RT-615K

There are other guys who have more experience then me with different tires. I have run the Hankook RS3 and the Dunlop Z3. I didn't really care for the way the Hankook behaved at the limit and it seemed to be more pressure sensitive. It also took a bit to heat up. It did wear like iron though. I am a big fan the of the Z3. It is off the pace of the top tier 200TW tires like the A052 and RE71, but it wears okay and you are able to maintain consistent lap times during a 20 min session without overheating the tire too much. I grew a ton as a driver on this tire as it likes a bit a slip angle and and you can really play with the car more at the limit.
