Rear Window Louver Install
 

For anyone who has installed (or is interested in installing) one of these aftermarket ABS rear window louvers:

Mine was slapping against the window glass at highway speeds afterwards and the sound was super-annoying. I fixed it by installing several feet of black, self-stick, 1/4-inch, teardrop-shaped weather stripping to all of the points of contact of the louver assembly. Basically, on all sections that touch any glass.

I also added an extra anchor point to the middle on the bottom to keep it from bulging up slightly and hitting the trunk upon opening and closing it.

It is now completely quiet at all speeds, the trunk doesn't touch it, and it adds a cool retro look. The look of the gen 3 Supra is what I was going for.

Whoa.... flashbacks to the 80's.

Yes, great decade. If you think about it, these cars are throwback cars to begin with so in my opinion, it’s completely appropriate.
