First clear look at GR86 / BRZ prototype during testing
I don’t see blind spot monitoring/lane keeping hardware on the side mirrors. Good.

Or it could be that they want you to think it is a hatchback. If you look at the Supra, the cut line is right around the same place. https://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/cr...-63_800x0w.jpg |

It seems that arched shape of trunk gets the design clues from Supra :(

It’s a good thing that it’s much more subtle. On the supra it’s just too much. |
I would consider switching just because I think I'm ready to make the move to an auto at some point soon(ish). I hate that eyesight hooey though and would have to be able to disable it. If it loses the fender bumps that would also be a problem as being on the shorter side of things I've come to rely on them for front end placement.

they are still there, just not as pronounced. You can see them in the 4th and 5th photos :burnrubber: |
anyone else notice a lot less wheel gap? and better wheel offset?

No hood vents or intercooler. Not looking like it has a turbo. Wonder why they are testing it against an EcoBoost Mustang then?

Styling and aesthetics are a purely personal thing. There's no right or wrong, whatever floats your boat is good.
Of course we won't know for sure what the next-gen car actually looks like (and what the engine is!!) until we see the real thing. Until then, it's all just photoshop speculation. But, the more I look at the renderings, the more I like the current design. To my eyes, the current car has a lot more character. It's more curvaceous (= sexier). The renderings of the next-gen car are fine, but to me doesn't have as much personality. It's nice, but seems a bit more watered-down, slightly generic Japanese sports coupe. Even if the next-gen car comes with a turbo (which is somewhere between not gonna happen and extreme long shot), I don't know if I'd give up my current car for it. |

I like the curves of the Supra, I think they got it right. Especially when you see it in person. It has a really cool presence, and it looks aggressive. The fake vents have never bothered me either. The fact that it’s mostly a BMW does. LOL But in all fairness BMW has made some amazing cars in their time. I’m still considering getting one, depending on what the 2nd gen twins offer. Different types of cars I know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
