Radiator fans making high pitched snap noise upon them starting up

As my engine runs, the radiator fans periodically turn on and off, when they turn on however, there is an extremely high pitched, loud snap noise. Seems to be the motor making the noise.

It's a 2013 BRZ, does anyone know of this issue? I'm prepared to just buy aftermarket fans at this point.

Yes you gonna have to replace the fans that shouldn't be happening and if it does it indicates that one of the fans is giving out.
