dont know why it would be sketchy. when I got my frs it had the cel and sl issue within the first month so I looked up the issue here hence the account. luckily under warranty, never bothered posting. I dont have to...

I traced a custom plate back to that vehicle it just so happens he/she owns an frs aswell... if it was any different vehicle I wouldnt of bothered posting on here. make sense?

It is odd to have your very first post include someone else’s VIN number. Probably not information the owner would appreciate you putting out onto a public forum.

Why don’t you make the post about your question in regards to the custom license. Unless it’s specifically about the license plate numbers then 1. That’s a stupid question to come to a forum about. And 2 has the same issue as posting a VIN on a public forum.

um, VIN's and liscense plates are inherently public information...

a VIN is public knowledge you could look mine up if I gave you any information to go off of I own the 1161 10 series have fun looking it up if you want. it just so happened I looked up this specific license plate and it was taken so I then looked up the VIN from the plate.

the fr-s community is rather small so this is actually a perfect place to look and considering they have a custom plate it is even more likely theyd be on here.

I meant no ill will toward anyone I just want to ask about their plates, if you must know it's a specific anime character and mines the other one.

True to an extent, there is a reason why most people remove, cover, or blur license plates when taking pictures or videos of their car. It’s not information most people want to put all over the internet. Regardless if you could just walk up to it in public and get the information your self. It’s not publicly readily available on the internet without already knowing specific information.

You see what you said. I could look it up if YOU gave me information. YOU are giving HIS information that is not readily easily available. And Like you also said I can’t look anything up in regards to you or anyone specifically without other information i don’t already have easily readily available or have any reason to need to know or have access to.

Like i said in above post, sure i could walk up to your car and get it vin/plate. but I’d need to know where your car is and travel to it. It’s not easily readily available to me on the internet.

If it’s in regards to a picture on the plate. Why not make the post about that picture. Looking for FRS with “x“ picture on license

TBH i have no idea my vin without looking at it. Even if he sees this thread he may have no idea it’s about him. The specific anime character would narrow it down much easier. Or someone might see it who knows him.

I'm coming clean here, it's not me.. never owned a FRS..

Can walk up to any car and read the vin on the dash. It is a legal requirement to be visible almost everyplace.
No sure why people are worried about a VIN on the internet though. What would anybody do with it anyway?

well I dont know if the owner is a him or her. I also am not giving their information out, if they ever private messaged me I wouldnt post it on here. without a government database i wont be able to trace the license plate to the person. I didnt mean for this to be a big issue for everyone, I simply wanted to see if they were on here to talk about the plate lol

also, I never gave you their plates I looked it up because I want to use it on my own car, it wasnt avaliable so I looked up the plate to the vin (public knowledge). to my suprise a fellow frs owner AND they just so happen to live in the same state (more info for you if you are looking my vin up). so, again just was looking to talk about the plate.

This is also public information on your public record anyone can gain access to. You want this information posted by some random person all over the internet?

You think every FRS owner has their VIN memorized or is going to read this and say OMG maybe its me let me check my VIN. Doubt it.

Plus he might not be on here maybe a friend is though and will see this and say oh little Jimmy John drives an FRS with Naruto on his license. Yo jimmy john check this forum out.

Probably the worst way of trying to locate someone just put a VIN and Car Model.

Also there is a section in the forums here for FRS/BRZ/86 sightings narrowed by region for this specific thing.
