Frs no crank no start, radio, clock, and window switches not working
Hey guys so being the idiot that I am i forgot to disconnect the negative battery cable while working on my car. No mods were added i just wanted to clean up the bay a little and while taking off a bolt, the ratchet sparked. Now when i go to try and start the car, there is literally nothing happening and to add on, the radio, clock, and windows arent working. Ive checked all the fuses and the battery tested good. Any other ideas?

Does cluster come on? |
I checked every single fuse even if they're not associated to the problems i'm having. I went through and checked continuity at every point. The cluster comes on just the radio, clock and windows don't opperate.

There is a couple of big fuse looking things under the red cover on the positive battery terminal, you may wish to check to see if either or both of those are blown. You do realize there are two fuse blocks, one under the dash and one under the hood? Come back. |
Lol that was the point of the name. I checked the big fuses by the poitive battery connection look alright but havent tested them and yes i checked both under the dash and under the hood. Also looking further into whats not working, my mirros dont move, windshield wipers dont work, and ac doesnt opperate either. I'm so lost

glad you found it, as I was going to just post to look at those, but decided to read and see if you found it yet :) If you ground out a main terminal like you did with your wrench, every car since who knows when has a main fuse like this in order to keep you from frying anything important. Sometimes those main fuses are expensive tho. Hope yours(mine too I suspect) isn't too spendy |
Nah luckily it was $15 online, that fuse saved me from thousands of dollars worth of damage. I have an ecutek license on the ecu and if i lost that i was gonna part the car out lol. Thanks for the help though guys
