Spartan65's Hot Lava AT FR-S
So I finally let the 06 WRX wagon out of my clutches, I tried to sell it to a young hopeful except his bank's ass is tighter than a frog's ass. Good bye my silver bullet.
http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...ortizwrx13.jpg Hello you sexy Hot Lava FR-S The night she came home, 8-6-2012 http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...S/DSC_0014.jpg I like the way the amber side markers actually blend with this color And tonight after the sun went down. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...-38-28_451.jpg I will probably put all Cusco suspension on this one, that or Tanabe, if Tomei makes anything it may find it's way on this car. I'll try and put anything I do on my YouTube Channel, which I will post once the work begins. I like the automatic so far, I drive it in manual mode as much as possible. I like the way the ECU blips the motor before it down shifts. The shifts are quicker than my Kartboy and Exedy could ever be. I'm glad to be part of a new community. |
Very nice ride so far, look forward to seeing what you do to her.

Congrats! I'm really liking the fact that hot lava looks so different each and every time according to the daylight.

Dropped on a K&N air filter,http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...833#post378833 Sounds better, I had kept the stock air box on my WRX wagon, It worked real well since I was under the 350 hp mark. There are some nice threads here that I will emulate.
These are the parts I will more than likely go with. Tanabe Coilovers TSE4166 ~ 2190.00 Tanabe DP T50166 ~ 240.00 Tanabe Tour Medallion T70166 ~ 1340.00 Tanabe Front Strut Bar TB166F ~ 139.00 Tanabe Rear Strut Bar TB166R ~ 139.00 Tanabe Front Sway Bar TSB166F ~ 245.00 Tanabe Rear Sway Bar TSB166R ~ 245.00 I'd like to match all my parts similar to the wagon was, only variant there was the tomei header. If they decide to do a header for the FRS I'm sure I'm flexible enough to make the concesion, It was debendable, well made with quality materials. I had to go to dealer and find where they had the body plugs that were not in the glove box from where they hooked it on the transport. I also set up a meeting with the Toyota representative to show him some paint issues as far as quality goes. |
Today me and my Co-Pilot's went up to the Santa Fe Ski Area. Great Ride up and down. From 7k in the city to 10k at base of Ski area. Great ride.

SO my Co-Pilots and I took the afternoon run up to Taos, New Mexico. We carved the canyon along the Rio Grande up to the Rio Grande Gorge. Great day. Forgot to clean Emma before the pictures, but I like my Women a little dirty.

Forgot to note that I installed my mud flaps on 9/28/2012 I picked up from Beaver Scion for 62.35 after tax. It took me about one hour. I took off all four wheels and drilled it in the prescribed area for added rigidity.
My parts came in for one of the TSB the Cricket killer HPFP replacement, Beaver gave me a Prius C to drive which was highly amicable. Jennifer from service called to say my car should be done by 4:00 on 10/3/2012. I don't mind who is working on the car, I went down a personally introduced myself to the Master Technician, he seemed knoweldgable and went to the Scion FR-S School in Phoenix. He was aware of the issue and has not tried to disregard my concerns. He said it was refreshing to see an automobile owner that actually had a passion for the vehicle they drive. Job security I guess. He seems commited, his work station is impecable so we have that in common. I can see this MT getting me past the resistence I may meet when it comes time to put the TRD SC on the car when that time comes. |
Tinted all my windows yesterday 7 windows with Llumar High Performance 20% ceramic tint, and One window with Llumar Air Blue 80. I'll post some pictures tomorrow if it's not raining or snowing.
