That modified BRZ gen2, is it a black housing and does it still say “BRZ” on the rim of the projector? Also where can I buy that?

I can't find any pics of a modified Gen 2 BRZ headlight. Maybe you are confusing that with the picture of the Morimoto headlight?


For custom modified headlights, you need to send your OEM headlight to a shop that does headlight modifications. They can paint them however you want and add various RGB lighting. I would assume they would still have "BRZ" printed on the rim of the projector.

Check Epic Lights on instagram - I've seen some Kouki BRZ lights custom by him. I think he might be a member here as well.

I painted my stock FRS headlights black (high beam reflector is still chrome) and added halos. I couldn't dream of a better looking headlight

Those look great! My personal fave are custom modified FR-S headlights, too.

I've been working on my reverse light since 2013. It's gonna be a while!

Original OEM 86 is best in my opinion. Followed by OEM Kouki 86 and Zenki BRZ. Kouki BRZ is ok.

All the aftermarket ones make me cringe. Remind me of early 2000's TYC catalog parts.

Even base FRS is better, and many consider those "peasant spec" lol

VLAND easily (but would be open to a higher quality mimic of them by another company), though Gen 2 BRZ looks pretty nice however mostly limited for FRS/ 86 owners.

Put in a D2H ballast with the VLAND and they look perfect, waited almost 3 and a half months for mine due to difficulties dealing with sellers but don't regret the wait now that they're finally installed.

I might be biased though since my car is black and the black housing of the VLAND just fits perfectly with what I was going for

It all started when the retrofit source jammed Acura led headlights into my face...
