Brembo Touch-up Paint?
What is everyone using for a touchup paint? I found a few references online for paint that matches, but no high temperature option short of repainting the whole caliper.
I just have a few small nicks that I would like to fix. Has anyone found a suitable paint pen or small bottle with applicator that is high temp? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Well, I got some Duplicolor caliper paint and am going to try it out and see how it looks.

i believe brembo's are power coated, not painted. meaning there's no touching them up.

Pretty sure they’re painted: https://www.brembo.com/en/company/ne...alipers-brembo
In any case, I’m not going to refinish the calipers for a few small spots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Well, Duplicolor caliper paint is not a match [emoji2359]

Have not had to touch mine up yet but Jesus type that same question into google and you will get at least 5 options to try. I would try this one first. RAL 3020

Brembo Touch-up Paint?

Thanks. I did that before posting. I’m looking for high temp paint, as stated in the original post. Did not find that anywhere. RAL 3020 is not high temp. I called the company and they specifically said it will not work for brakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Unless you actually plan on taking these brakes to high temp like track or autocross, find yourself the nearest paint match and touch up paint it frequently.
Brembos are originally anodized. Unless you’ve got some second hand that we’re anodized a different color than what OE offers, you won’t find an exact match + high temp. Even anodizing changes the color a shade or two. Some high temp paints are over exaggerated to make a sale. |
See the link above: Brembos are painted from the factory. The company that makes RAL 3020 said the paint will burn off around 100°F, which sounds very low to me, but that’s what they said. Brakes will get that hot even going to the grocery store.
If you look at reviews online, most people say that the touch up paint will either burn off or change color. I was simply trying to find something that worked. In any case, I just used high temp caliper paint that doesn’t match perfectly, but is close enough for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
RAL 3020 is a color code from the RAL color standard system and not a paint manufacturer. Paint shops and manufacturers will use these codes to match a certain color, just like the Pantone system (PMS). Manufacturers like Duplicolor will formulate their paint to withstand high temperatures, but might use a RAL color code for the color.

Thanks for the clarification. I called Duplicolor and asked for a high temp in that color and they said they don’t offer it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
