SoloWerks S1?

Hey! I've been looking around for a set of coilovers to finally put on the BRZ and I came across these:

I did a little bit of digging but I couldn't find any reviews or information on these AT all? Does anyone have these installed? How are they running?

$450? I just don't believe in acceptable quality at such price point. Maybe i'm wrong, but i'm certain to not overcome my suspicion and to experiment buying them. Imho tein flex z or unadjustable shocks like koni-s or bilstein b6 should be the very starting point to consider something that actually can be upgrade from OE.

I'm in tein basis z and they are not that good because no damping. Honestly spend the money right the first time.

There's a good reason there are no reviews. Don't try to cut corners on one of the most critical components. They've certainly cut corners and you won't know where until you drive on them and realize "oh man, this sucks"

They’re cheaper than raceland. That should tell you everything you need to know.

The OEM dampers are pretty good. I'm thinking those SoloWerks would be a step backwards.
Quality costs and $450 just doesn't cut it.

Try them and let us know how it goes.

I just picked up a set. I'll let yall know how they are.

Finally got them installed. They aren't as rough of a ride as I was expecting but they are pretty stiff. Ill try to get a video of me going over some bumps

230lbs/285lbs is not "stiff". I have 390/340 springs on my car and the ride is firm but comfortable for me. Damping quality, or as I suspect in your case lack there of, determines ride quality.
How did you decide upon those units? What were you wanting to achieve?

I’m going to guess:
Cheap
Moar low

Given how little time some people take researching such important components (such as suspension and brakes) without having any idea of what they're purchasing makes my head hurt.

I bent a wheel a week after I bought my car. I purchased a set but they are way too wide and I didn't know enough. I tried to have them mounted but I asked the tech to do a test fit. They were slamming into the stock springs and shock. Looked around and saw these were on sale at 86speed. Jumped on them to stop from hemorrhaging anymore money. They fit the wheels i purchased. If I hadn't already bought the wheels I would have listened to my friend that told me to buy Bc coilovers

BC isn't good quality either... they'll get you low and aren't expensive, but that's about it.
