2017-2018 Manual Transmission in a 2013?

I bought a manual transmission from a wrecked 2017 or 2018 brz. Will it work fine with my 2013? I'm worried the ECU will throw a fit.

I'm wondering why you even changing it in the first place lol. I have never heard of that before.

If its a manual now it will be fine, If your automatic it will need reprogramed.
Not completely sure about what needs done wiring wise, someone else should chime in.

I'm doing my clutch and managed to find one with 7k on it. Putting it in since my synchros are going

I hope nothing wiring wise, ha. It's a manual tranny going in a manual car.

Transmission has two switches that are off/on
Neutral switch and a reverse switch.
It should plug right up.

Oh wow, I guess I haven't experience that issue in my 2012 version.
