Key ON chimes missing
 

When I set my key to ACC or ON, it doesn't make the chimes before staring the car that everyone might hate. But it bothers me knowing that something is off. I don't notice anything else wrong with the car or anything, I don't think. But it doesn't make that dinging sound when you switch to ON.

I was wondering if anyone knew a possible cause or ways to test for the cause? I checked Techstream and the customize options looked normal.

- pulling the battery didn't help.
- key in, door open still chimes
- key out, door open still chimes
- dome light still working
- headlights still working
- power mirrors and windows still working
- clock and key ring light still working

6-17-2020: Key ON chimes came back all of a sudden. Don't know how.

Now tell me how to turn it off. lol.
