Performance Pack Brembo Rear Brakes
Thanks to @86league, we have some pad radial height data. I recalculated the numbers and now come up with:
OEM base: 69.3% front bias OEM Brembo: 66.3% front bias Stoptech/Brembo: 64.9% front bias Stoptech/base: 69.3% front bias To summarize, it appears that the Brembo rear calipers apply about 14% more torque to the rear rotors versus base calipers, and the net impact of the Brembo performance pack brakes is to shift brake bias rearward by 3%. However, my numbers are different from 86league. Can anyone chime in to double check the math? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Essex tells me their calculations show the stock system system at 65.5% front bias. Parts catalog shows that the front/rear pistons are same part number, so should be the same diameter. Using 40.4mm front and 40.4mm rear with the radial depth info posted above I get 65.56%. Very close to Essex's number. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/pict...ictureid=11994 |
Thank you, 86league. It’s good to have an actual measurement of the front caliper pistons.

Awesome data, thanks for sharing!
Quoted that post in the thread. |
Trying to find a thread that listed pads and the model numbers that fit the brz pp. If you know of thread I'm talking please share the link.

@CSG Mike can the pp brembo be fitted to the 2013 -2016 models?
|
Garvin29: obviously it can be. But: 1) stock wheels won't clear, 2) while PP brembos is good deal when bought anew, when you source it from parts for retrofit, it's cost gets unreasonably high, higher then that of aftermarket offerings.

^ What @churchx said.

sorry for reviving old thread.. So What's the verdict on mixing the stoptech with the rear brembo for daily/street driving?

and also I realized no one brought up suspension suspension compared to OEM.
A stiffer setup would benefit with less front bias in comparison to OEM. So based on this: Quote:
