AMP Fuse in the AUDM BRZ
Hey guys, I was trying to 'swap' the factory amp to an Alpine KTP-445u that the I've seen in the forums. Little did I know that the Australian BRZ didn't come with an amp... making this install a lot harder than I initially thought.
Does anyone know what the 15A fuse in the "AMP" location in the driver's side fuse box actually does? Is there an amp that I don't know about? Or does the head unit directly power the door woofers? I always assumed that there was an amp in our cars because this fuse was provided. For eg. the tS version doesn't come with fog lights.. and therefore the fog light fuses aren't included. On another note, if anyone has done factory HU connected to an aftermarket amp for the 2018+ BRZ, did you manage to use the factory harness similar to how the guys in the US simply swapped out the factory amp? I've been trying to follow wiring diagrams (with some success) but all I've got are the USDM diagrams in which the colours are completely different. |
you don't have an amp on the front-ish passenger side in the boot?
i haven't been made aware of any model changes for 2018 for any market... |

Even the amp-remote turn on pin in the 10-pin connector pin #9 is not connected. |
