A/T FR-S Vibration at idle Help
Hey guys, I have a 2013 FR-S A/T, *pause for auto jokes*, and I experienced a vibration at idle that would shake the car. At one point, the car stalled and now after it stalled it self, it seems to be running fine but I’m worried that it may arise again and come back worse. I noticed when it was happening, i always have my OFT showing real time data, that the ignition adv was fluctuating back and forth between about 9-14 degrees rapidly.
Here are some mods that I’ve done to my car that may pertain to the issue: K&N High Flow Filter, 1320 UEL, Stage 2+ E85 pop tune (OFT). I also just switched from 0w20 yesterday to 5w30 because I live in Florida and it’s always hot as f*** here. It was raining today also when it happened and I noticed a very thin white smoke coming from my exhaust even after the engine reached Operating Temp. But I’ve heard this is common with E85. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. I don’t really wanna take it to a dealer because it’s modded and because it’s just cheaper to do things myself. Thanks! |
Oh, I would suggest you not overreact to one stall, especially after all the messen you did with the engine.
Way back when, there was a "fix/patch" they had for certain 2013s with an AT, that fixed the stalling issue. |
