Clean, Detail and Opticoat on Whiteout
Just spent 9 hours this weekend with some experts in detailing. I have had the car for a month and driven out and about for 1500km's. I haven't wiped down the car once and only pressure washed it once after a dirty rainfall. You would be surprised at how many imperfections and contaminants there are in the paint right from the dealership, a major one being the rail dust that settles on the car body since the car's are shipped on rail without cover to various cities and then shipped by truck to the dealerships.
Adam Wong and Vincent Mah did all the work. I spent the time with them there to learn and understand the products they used and I think its valuable to know all this information to prolong the care of our beloved FR-S and BRZ's and now I am sharing it with you guys: http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/...962#post354962 I chose Opti-coat because on Whiteout I was uneasy about the 3M yellowing over time and it was my best bet for long term protection. The Opti-coat itself isn't a bank breaker but the 9 hours of work to prepare the car for Opti-coat is definitely a very meticulous job! Enjoy! |
