If there's actually a mirror image part for RHD vehicles, it won't fit a LHD car. The holes are there in the hood for you to attach it, but there's no gap on that side for it to fit into when you close the hood. As soon as you drop the hood, you'll hear an alarming crunch as the plastic breaks under the pressure. Considering how light these hoods are, the aluminum will likely bend as well. You might even bend the hood support.

This is why I mentioned spatial reasoning. This is square peg in round hole stuff.

He wants to know "wat does it do" not how does it work.
He apparently thought I was joking when I said seals the heat in.
It is a seal. That is all it does.

Yep, I thought you were kidding.

Why does one want to seal the heat IN an engine compartment?

Then, why do some people put vents in their hood to let the heat OUT.

Life is getting more difficult for me - :sigh:

The idea isn't to keep the heat in that is a byproduct. The idea is the keep the crap that blows up in an engine bay from blowing against the windshield. Even the oldest of cars have a seal of some sort there.

There is it is on the bottom as part of the whole unit. As Shakey said the gap is there for clearance. That is why the right hand drive is reversed.

it's really just there to redirect rain into the rain gutter, and to keep out larger debris from falling into the motor.

just drinks or dinner and drinks?

It's something for the squirrels to chew on. Simples.

Wait! What!

Now the red circles are missing!
Guess they're replaced by mudguards up there in Nukistan.
Got to keep the cost down.

He is right it actually is a two way seal. It keeps stuff in and out of the engine bay.
