'14 Pioneer/Harmen GPS issue
Anyone else with the 2014 model Pioneer seeing an issue with the time displayed on the Map?
Mine is showing a time that several hours in the future, and it's not an even amount so it's not a time zone issue (it's like 14 hours and 12 minutes). It should be synchronizing with the satellites but doesn't seem to be. I'm tempted to drive the 30 minutes west to see if it fixes itself with a time zone change, but probably should just try disconnecting power first. Very odd. |
Have you verified the voltage level on the flux capacitor? If that's running high it may be drifting "forward to the future".

As documented here, the battery in my FRS had to be replaced over the weekend. The car was without any battery at all (disconnected) for about 4 hours, and the battery was dead for about 48 hours. Tried it this morning on the way to work, still same issue. At 6:15am it said I would arrive at work in exactly 45 minutes at 10:17PM. My guess is it does have something to do with the GPS calendar rollover, but since the ETA on the GPS is correct, and the routing is correct I'm likely not to worry about it. I will be driving this upcoming weekend into the Central time zone so we'll see if that manages to "flip" it. Too bad there isn't a 86 version of this, I might actually consider switching to it. Reading through some of the info on folks that have installed it in GEN2 CTS-Vs it apparently works pretty well. They provide for the relocation of the central stack controls that are not CANBUS, which would be required for some models of the 86. |
