86 GTS (JDM) headlight swap with BRZ headlights
 

Hi guys,

I have been searching extensively but having difficulty getting a clear answer on the interchangability of 86 GTS (also known as Monogram) JDM headlights and BRZ headlights.

I am located in Australia and we got a GTS variant 86 which has DRL headlights found on the JDM spec 86s. This has an 8pin plug as opposed to the FR-S Halogen headlights which has 6pin plug.

I recently picked up a pair of BRZ headlights which I find quite appealing but needed to pick the brains of you guys.

The attached file has the BRZ pin out diagram vs the Halogen FR-S headlight pin out, but this does not relate to the JDM Monogram headlight wiring.

Has anyone had any experience in swapping out Monogram 86 GTS headlights with BRZ? Is it plug and play, or will there be requirements to re-pin the plug? How does the DRL work also?
