looking for twins-focused shops - track prep/maintenance
Hey everyone, relatively new to the area and looking for well regarded shops familiar with the platform, preferably with track experience. I'd like to have some headers installed with and standard track prep - alignment, SS lines, brake fluid and pad swap. Metro west preferred but anywhere in the greater Boston/Worcester area is great.
Thanks in advance |
I'm told the stock lines are SS and fluid/pad swap is pretty doable on your own. That said any tire shop can do an alignment.

There's a good alignment shop in Northboro - New England Tire. 100 bucks for a one time alignment, or 200 for lifetime, and most important - they will do whatever numbers you give them, not just 'by the book'. I do all other servicing myself, so I can't help you with shops that specifically have track experience with our platforms.
There's also Flatout Motorsports on Rt 140 in Mendon...they're primarily a spec Miata shop, but I've seen other models in their parking lot. Seem like a decent bunch of guys the one time I stopped in to check them out. |
It's south of where you're asking, but they're good. South Shore Autoworks, Kingston. They have a lot of track experience, along with general maintenance on a WIDE variety of vehicles. I've seen a twin prepared in their shop run at Palmer, and it was quick.

Theres a bunch of good shops, but the ones that stand out are brentuning for mechanical, and Eastside motoring for body work. They are just the shops with the most Instagram followers, and flashiest websites. Great shops, don't get me wrong, but there are also little hole in the wall places that cater to track cars like fastrack in Peabody. Brentuning dynotuned my s1000rr to 200whp and Eastside installed my widebody. Got an alignment at fastrack after I put in my coils.

Lol brenntuning was eviscerated on mazdaspeedforums years ago for having a "320whp" car that got rolled by a 280whp car tuned by a tuner on msf. MSF is down now but I remember people looking at logs from the tune and it was complete shit.
Maybe they're a lot better now? |

I've had great luck with FastTrack in the past too, and they're always at COMSCC events. I've also had good luck with BrenTuning. They tuned my STI and BRZ. |
