That's one of my worst fears. Thanks for the PSA

Yea it caught me off guard. I need to check to see if mine are affected. Not sure what brand to trust now. Wish I had the money for those fancy quick jacks [emoji1787]

China! No thanks.

My car is jacked up on these right now.
Cool. |
Jack stands are the one thing you don't want to skimp out on. Ever try to push a car off the top of you?

people genuinely only leave 1 failure point, purchased at the lowest cost, by a company well known to produce with the lowest bidder between them and 3,000 pounds of metal?
HF should really change their name to Darwin Tools.. |

I can't fuck with Harbor Freight. I know some of their stuff is ok,but just as a general rule,I can't cheap out on tools. I bought a set of socket from them once,it while the sockets themselves were decent, the packaging was pure trash.
Also, the nearest one to me is kind of out of the way,so it would be one thing if it were close. |
I have these jack stands but I'm not really worried about them. The chassis on this car is so stiff that if one jack collapsed, you probably wouldn't even notice.
To this day it freaks me out when I jack up one corner of the car and practically the whole car rises. |
