Flex fuel kit DT vs CSG/Ptuning
Thoughts on best flex fuel kit? Right now I'm between Delicious and the one by Ptuning at CSG. THANKS.

I have an earlier DT kit that bolts closer to the fender. I think their new ones are mounted on the factory strut brace. I like it as far as sensors go. Really hasn't given me any problems. The lines look nice. Nothing about it makes you think it was thrown together quickly. It looks professional when installed correctly. The one downside of the kit, if it really matters to you, is the inability to wire up a physical gauge if that's something you were looking for. They have a mobile app that can tell you the ethanol content over Bluetooth, and that's been suffice for me. At one point I think I had figured out how to wire a physical gauge up, but it required custom cable harnesses and additional components. So it's definitely possible, just not off the shelf from their kit.
However, I love all the stuff CSG endorses, and I would trust them if they endorsed the PTuning kit. |
I have xero-limit FF kit. Seems to be the cheapest option that also includes an independent Zeitronix Ethanol% gauge. Easy install, fittings all look to be good quality. Uses the same Zeitronix sensor/eca as most the other kits. I’d either go this kit as it’s probably the cheapest high quality kit (do to buying in bulk and having cheaper labor costs in that state vs other states, not cheaper because quality) or just support whoever is tuning your car and get whatever kit they provide. In my case it happens to be both.

The old DT kit is what I have on my car, but that's not the kit that is sold at this time by DT.
The Ptuning kit uses a Continental sensor, which is OEM grade (it's used on GM flex fuel cars), as does the DT kit I have. I would recommend the Continental over the Zeitronix for consistency and reliability. |
+1 for Ptuning due to it's stealth installation.

I just wanted to bump this post up because the PTuning kit and CSG are top-notch. Zach is a tuning god and goes well beyond being helpful. CSG rocks!

The PTuning kit is nice but don't get the ethanol content display. Mine lasted a month.

+1 for PTuning/CSG as well. Working with Zach is a pleasure and the tune is amazing!

I’ve had the PTuning flex fuel kit with display for over a year. No problems.

I put the new analyzer on expecting everything to be okay, but no, it freezes as before. :bonk: |

Yeah, mine is dead. Lasted about a month. Everything else works fine. I honestly forgot I sent it to them and never heard anything. It was 6+ months later before I remembered so I am kind of SOL on it. I just read ethanol content through my oft now. |
