Texas Metro Area Inspections

Hey Guys,
I'm considering either a stage 1 tune, or stage 2+ w catless header. Having to remove/re-install a header to pass is not something I'm interested in. With map switching capability, no issue with a tune alone, but will I pass with the primary cat in the header gone? Would I need to switch maps to pass? I'm in Houston, so we have some additional standards, IIRC.

As long as you have one cat and no cel, you'll pass inspection. I've got a catless header and high flow catted down pipe and have passed inspection just fine without changing anything.

Not sure how the standards are in Houston. I have used 2 different dealers to get an inspection on my car in the DFW area and pass every year. Catless header, catless front pipe, OFT stage 2+.

Houston is same.. basically no CEL and no problem. but certainly catless header and catted front pipe is no problem
