Headers, Overpipe and Frontpipe
Has anyone installed just those three exhaust components without anything else?
Planning on doing that while waiting for my catback to come in. Also if anyone has a clip please post. Thank you. |

Catted or uncatted header? Catted or uncatted front pipe?

There are such that keep using stock catback with aftermarket exhaust. But as headers & frontpipe also may affect sound, no sense in asking for sound clips, as different models of them may sound different. At very least UEL vs EL. But different models of type too, and so do different frontpipes. You may try finding something if you search for threads for specific header, though i'd probably be too lazy.
From issues that may stem up though and worth looking into, if your new header is catless, cat readiness check CEL may pop up. Worth getting ecu tune with those checks disabled (and also to extract more power from aftermarket header better scavenging/less resistance to flow). |
You need to specify which type of header, where the cats are (if any), and other stuff.
Plenty of options on the market so it's hard for you to get a good idea of what is "best" Apex'i header/OP/FP w/ cat/large resonator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbWpwrZ4wh4 Berk FP only: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2LGLH7K1Cs There's a few others on FRSport's YouTube page (all tested/filmed by me when I was there) that are worth checking out, especially the ones with the Blitz VS/VSR exhaust since the design of that exhaust is similar to stock. Beyond that, no one can give you a good answer until you specify what type of header/FP you're looking to do. |

I will look through my phone later to see if i have a clip. |
Catback has some back-pressure too. It is better to change it. Not a serious problem if you change it a bit later though.
