FR-S bumper on a 2017+ Toyota 86. Use the FR-S turn signals as fog lights?

I know the FR-S bumper will fit on a 2017+ 86 when you also install the FR-S headlight brackets. How feasible would it be to use the FR-S turn signal housings as fog lights?

If you installed the brightest possible white LEDs that will fit in the FR-S turn signal sockets, would the light output be acceptable?

Would you be able to use existing factory fog light wiring on the 86 to power the bulbs in the FR-S turn signal housings?

It's not just about power of light source or wiring of after which button press specific lights light on.
It's also (much more so) about specific produced light beam shape, to reduce reflection from dust/snow/mist particles in air (flat and wide but very narrow vertically).
I guess one can get turn signals to lit up with foglights switch, they can produce as much light in lumens .. but if you meant them to illuminate road in fog .. at best they will just produce that "white wall" ahead of car like main far lights in fog or snowstorm.

I'd get actual fogs and paint the marker light black to match the bezel.

I know they would not technically work like fog lights would. I mean fog lights are not really a requirement for driving, I have been fine in the many cars I have had that did not have fogs.

I am more concerned about using the existing wiring to connect to the turn signals. Like are they different voltage (the 86 uses LED fog lights)? Would the connector for the 86 fog lights plug into the FR-S turn signals or need to be changed?

I would rather have at least some functionality from the light housings rather than paint over them or just not even have them connected.

I am thinking this issue is why you see so many people asking about putting the FR-S bumper on a 2017+ 86, but so few people actually do it.
